Digital privacy is the privacy that citizens may have when having digital media. Having privacy is very important when coming to digital media because it allows your be able to trust the product and trust what your putting on the app may that be a phone or social media on the phone, being able to keep those important things you share on your phone give you stability in the long run when talking about social security and things of that nature. algorithms talks about how is it basically a code on your phone that runs it and it something that is expanding overtime. in the article it says
“Algorithms are aimed at optimizing everything. They can save lives, make things easier and conquer chaos. Still, experts worry they can also put too much control in the hands of corporations and governments, perpetuate bias, create filter bubbles, cut choices, creativity and serendipity, and could result in greater unemployment” basically saying that without algorithms things would be a lot more difficult when handling Technology. One thing that stood out tome in the readings were learning how to protect your chats and use an encrypted app for messaging. this is including apps like what's app on your phone and things like that, that can protect your messages. The case study i found that was interesting was apple slowing their old phones down so people can buy the updated phones. when u thing this is not true it actually is when they came out and said that it was true. this relates to the topic of Algorithms because it shows how it truly works and how it can be affects and how you can improve it.
